DESCRIPTION:S. E. Cornwall Heritage Day  – St John Nr Millbrook  – Sunday 30th June 2024  – 1000hrs  – 1500hrs\n\nSt John will be the location for our second Heritage Day of the year. It will be a fantastic day of music\, song\, and Cornish Dialect. There will be stalls and displays from local OCSs and history groups. Plenty of time has been allowed for a “dish -o-tay” and a drop of saffron cake\, not to mention the pasties for lunch\, so please come along and enjoy a good yarn with friends. All welcome.\n\nOur heritage days are a joint venture with the Institute of Cornish Studies\, and have been funded by Cornwall Council under a Pathways to Intangible Cultural Heritage grant. During the day we will be exploring the pronunciation of Cornish place-names\, and our Dialect Recorder\, Chris Trevena will be capturing Cornish Dialect for inclusion in our Cornish Voices Dialect Project.
