DESCRIPTION:There will be no Lafrowda Day in St Just this year. \nIn the past\, as part of the Lafrowda Day celebrations\, St Just and Pendeen Old Cornwall Society has put on an Exhibition of Archive Material in the Woman’s Institute Hall. This has always been extremely well attended\, and we have been asked on numerous occasions “Will there be an Exhibition this year?”. To satisfy this demand\, we are intending to have an “Open Day” for the Society’s Archive Material in the Age Concern Building in Fore Street\, St Just on SATURDAY JULY 19TH\, from 10:00am until 4:00pm. All are welcome to come and browse through our archive. Admission will be free\, but a donation for Society funds would be appreciated.

SUMMARY:Bodmin Bombing Memorial Service
DESCRIPTION:Commemoration service in Dennison Road\, Bodmin in memory of those who lost their lives when a bomb was dropped there on 7th August 1942.\nEight people from one famiy were killed and one boy who was working at a local dairy.\n\nWe hold this Service every year and it is well attended locally including Bodmin Town Council and Bodmin DCLI. The Service is taken by Rev Paul Holley from Bodmin Parish Church and two minutes silence  followed by the Last Post.
