SUMMARY:St Dennis Community Archive and Museum in a Filing Cabinet!
DESCRIPTION:What is it? \nSt Denys & District OCS\, working with the Institute of Cornish Studies\, ClayTAWC Community Centre\, and St Dennis Memory Café Hub\, has been successful in obtaining funding to start a community archive at St Dennis. The funding was awarded by the Economic and Social Research Council as part of their Festival of Social Science. \nWhat is happening? \nBetween October 21st and 18th of November\, the St Dennis community is being invited to submit material for inclusion in the archive\, to be made publicly accessible in our community museum (remember\, it has to fit into a filing cabinet!). \nDo you have materials that you would like to share with the village? No need to leave the originals with us\, we can photograph/photocopy.  \nSave The Date! \nBetween 10am and 2 pm on Saturday 18th November\, the Archive will be launched at ClayTAWC in St Dennis with a series of talks about the articles gathered for the Archive. Refreshments will be provided\, all are welcome. Please contact Kensa Broadhurst on KB632@exeter.ac.uk with any questions.
