Carol Service: Carols of Colan “Cully” Williams
November 27 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

On Friday 27th November, we will gather at Hellesveor Chapel for a special carol service honouring the life and legacy of Colan “Cully” Williams. A beloved figure in the St Ives community, Cully overcame the loss of his sight following a mining accident in the United States and went on to compose some of Cornwall’s most cherished chapel carols.
“Cully’s Curls” — including the much‑loved “Hellesveor” — remain a treasured part of the seasonal traditions of St Ives and beyond. This service will bring his music home, celebrating the composer, the chapel, and the enduring carolling heritage he helped shape.
The carols will be performed by St. Ives Carol Choir under the musical directorship of William Thomas. The organ will be played by Frank Stevens.
All are welcome to join us for an evening of song, remembrance, and community.
