Leader – Robin Knight- Penzance walk exploring the old water supply to Penzance, and St Anthony Gardens, (this walk will follow on from Val Thomas’ morning walk around Madron).

Starting at the top of Causewayhead, near the old reservoir (1757) that was once supplied from Madron Well, we will follow the route taken by the water down to the harbour via several public 19^th Century water shoots. Having visited a little-known 18th century granite storage building on the South Pier, we will continue, via the Battery, to St Anthony Gardens that are part of a new controversial redevelopment scheme.

For those who wish to walk further we could go to Alverton Well next to Penlee Gardens.
