Composer Clive Jenkins reminisces in a talk about his career illustrated with CDs both private and commercial. Expect orchestral, choral, chamber and cabaret items.
Clive has composed locally for many organisations, including Television South West, the South West Sinfonietta, Plymouth University Choral Society, Plymouth Museum & Art Gallery etc. Nationally and internationally his music has had many broadcasts – most recently in programmes by the BBC Concert Orchestra on Friday Night is Music Night.
For some twenty years he has composed and arranged for the Chamber Ensemble of London with performances in St Martin-in-the-Fields, Kings Place, County Hall, the Banqueting House, St James’s Piccadilly, the V & A etc.
The talk is also intended to advertise Plymouth Music Accord’s work in education. Clive has served on its committee for thirty years.
