The recent Heritage Day at Liskeard Public Hall was well attended and warmly received by the community. Visitors enjoyed a varied programme of music, talks, poetry, and heritage displays that celebrated Cornwall’s rich culture and traditions.
Highlights included performances by Vocal Footprint, Melodi Liskerret, Laura Kestrel, and Kres, as well as engaging talks on topics ranging from Cornish folklore to landscape conservation. The Federation’s archaeology table and bookstall were popular spots for learning and conversation. It was brilliant to highlight the activities of many local heritage bodies and Old Cornwall Societies.
The Cornwall National Landscapes afternoon workshop conducted by the Peatland Partnership proved to be a popular part of the day.
Thanks to everyone who took part and helped make the day a meaningful occasion for sharing and celebrating Cornwall’s living heritage. We look forward to continuing to highlight Cornish heritage in 2026.
