An opportunity for OCS members to participate in an exciting weekend of metal detecting and fieldwalking in West Cornwall has arisen – book your place now!
It is an event in partnership between Hayle Metal Detecting Club, LMArchaeology, and the Federation of Old Cornwall Societies.
The event will take place from Friday 19th September until Sunday 21st September. A prolific amount of flint and stone tools have been found in the surrounding area, so we are hopeful that the site will be productive.
During the event, you will get real hands-on experience with field-walking and/or metal detecting, and there will be skills training opportunities for both of these, as well as with finds.
There will be training sessions from 1pm – 4pm on the Friday, with two full days of exploring on the Saturday and Sunday, from 9am – 4pm.
