Our annual Recorders Day took place on Saturday 14th March at Kresen Kernow, and it was wonderful to see such a strong turnout. My thanks to everyone who joined us — and to Priscilla, the Cury team, Katrina, Chris, and Hannah for helping make the day such a success. The pasties certainly didn’t go unnoticed either.
This year’s presentations were especially relevant to our work as Recorders.
– Katrina reminded us of the importance of accurately noting the sources behind every record we make. Her handout is available for anyone who missed it.
– Hannah provided a clear and practical overview of the Historic Environment Record (HER), highlighting how essential it is to our research.
– Chris delivered an excellent session on oral history recording — a skill that continues to grow in importance for our Societies.
It was a productive and enjoyable day, and a real testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of our Recorders network.
