St Columb OCS enjoy Cornish Carols

St Columb Major Old Cornwall Society held their Christmas Party in St Columba’s Church. It was a perfect setting for the evening on Monday 11th December. The Church was adorned with all manner of Angels, flying high above everyone as they listened and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful singing of The Red River Singers led by Hilary Coleman. Many of the Carols sung had been faithfully researched by Hilary Coleman and Sally Burley who travelled all around Cornwall to discover the different melodies and harmonies. The history of the Carols was related by members of the Choir prior to them being sung. It was indeed a memorable evening with light refreshments served afterwards.

The St Columb Major Old Cornwall Society are extremely grateful to Rev Helen Baber and the Church for the use of such a wonderful venue.
