I thought I would share my experience of being a stand-in banner bearer. It was not something I had considered until I saw the low banner turnout at An Gof.

Mullion OCS Celebrates 75th Anniversary
The first meeting of Mullion Old Cornwall took place in January 1951. Seventy-five years later we decided to celebrate this event on 8th August 2016. It was a beautiful sunny day for a guided walk around the village sharing memories of people and places in 1951.

In Memoriam: Raymond Keith Harrison
It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Raymond Keith “Keith” Harrison, President of Madron Old Cornwall Society passed away recently at Treliske hospital. His involvement in the Old Cornwall movement stretched far beyond Madron: he was a past Chairman and committee member of St Buryan Old Cornwall Society, a member of Hayle OCS, St Just OCS, St Penzance OCS, and a familiar and welcome guest lecturer to numerous Cornish societies and institutes.
Poem: ‘A Day In The Life of A Cornish Tenant Farmer’
Local historian, Colin Reed, has been researching farmers in the post-war period and has submitted and article which we hope to publish in the next Journal. He was so inspired by the subject that he penned a a poem which we have added to Kernow Goth for your enjoyment.
